Gotta love the early prediction-
Of course he'd get flamed, I've seen it many times before [8D]
All in all it's been said that it's not worth it- to say it kindly

IF any of you guys had a damn clue you would know that there are kits out there to do this very thing and even without a kit it's pretty easy. The guy came here and asked for our help and all you ******** do is flame him, that is not acceptible in the tech sections. If it was in off topic thats one thing but flaming is not in the tech areas, so if you don't have anything constructive to add KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

Just so of you know SBD with 4 bolt mains are cheap and don't split at 500 hp like the 5.0 does (actually neither do the 2 bolt blocks). Also 383 stroker kits are dirt cheap for chevy motors. If the guy can get one for free and has a crappy 4 cyl in there now, this swap makes sence.

exactly....and this is why i don't consider mf a "tech" site, more of a shoot the sh#t site (which i admit is far more entertaining)

built ford tough with chevy stuff haha... i wouldn't do it, but in this case it makes sense. if you do a google search you will find tons of articles on this.

Overall I think it'll cost you about the same to swap the Chevy engine vs a Ford. With that chevy you're definitely gonna need a new tranny, if you swap in a 5.0 or something, and don't beef it up or powershift, you should be fine with the 4cyl tranny in your car. At least for a while. I'm pretty sure you can get a used 302 for around $300 or so

I don't think I would say that. So far, tech stuff is just about all I've read since I've joined here. One of the main reasons I joined. This place had great tech advise. Sure once in a while you'll run into what happened in thei thread, but that happens everywhere. Granted, I haven't been a member here long, but this is the first one I've encountered.

A friend I drag with did it. He runs a 90 gt with a chevy 383 stroker. The car is gutted and and runs consistant low 11's. He loves the mustang body but also loves chevy engines. He fabbed up the mounts and crossmember brace. You will probably have to get a custom length drive shaft. I am a ford guy all the way but he has been running the same setup for three years now and that 383 dont skip a beat.
