well all of the engines that ive pulled ive pulled them with the tranny attached. before you pull it mark where every this goes that you take off and any nuts and bols bag and mark with a sharpie, any thing else might just smuge and you wont know where it goes to. nad no you dont have to mess with the k member to take the engine out. only thing on the k member you do is the engine mount bolts. what you doing with the engine? a rebuild or new engine?
DONT FORGET THAT!!! Trust me, you do NOT want to learn the hard way and have a whole motor/tranny bolts sitting in bags that arent labeled because the marker came off. Use NOTHING but a black sharpie. Also, like everyone said, just take your time and take lots of pics of everything and you should be OK.

Dont forget to clean everything before you put it back on. If your pulling the motor you mind as well clean it all up before you put it back together

best way to pull engine

Like some other guys said. Put all the parts/bolts in a ziplock and mark them with a sharpie. Take some pics for reference and you should be good to go. I pulled the engine with the tranny still attatched. I installed it seperate though. Make sure to plug the tailshaft of the tranny or your fluid will run out when you tip it.

Disconnect & label everything then yank/re-install the Motor & Tranny in one shot ... Best way in my opinion ...
