HAS ANYONE HAD A BUSHING KIT INSTALLED?
Hey guys,
I was writing to ask if anyone has had a urathane bushing kit installed in their car, and if it has made a difference in ride comfort and noise cancellation.
I'm talking about the kit that is sold on the 5.0 resto magazine. My car is a 91 mustang GT with stock suspension, minus KYB shocks and struts and the eibach Pro lowering spring kit.
The kit that I'm looking at includes :
front and rear control arm bushing sets
transmission crossmember bushings (when applicable, would it be applicable to me?)
coil spring isolators
steering rack bushings
strut mount bushings
sway bar end links
tie rod boots
transmission mount ( when applicable, but i already have that)
Would you guys suggest this kit? And for those who have it, can you give me details on how much of a difference it makes to have it...
Thanks guys!
yes the poly bushings make a huge difference the stock rubber bushings are probably worn out and rubber in general flexes alot. So the poly bushings will stiffen the car up alot
i have not done it yet, but a few things you should know are not to get the really hard bushings because you will get a roll stiffness in the chassis and it will handle like crap, your chassis will not felx like it should. energy suspension are the best bushings to get, they are not to hard but not to soft, i did put them on my front sway bar and it helped a lot.
