Hey guys I'm new to the forum and just wanted to ask you guys a question. I just wanted to know what rpms you guys shift at from a dig during a run, I have a pretty much stock 93 lx Hatch basicly just a CAI, Flows, and 3.73's and just wanted a couple peoples opions on where they shift [&:]
drop the clutch at 3 and shift out of first at 56, unless you have a automatic then dont race! haha j/k
That better have been a joke!
Haha yeah it was a joke, i just dont know what to tell you with auto. But honestly it depends on more then what i said before..i mean are we talking street tire, track racing...road racing tire pressure? Mainly go out there and play and find out for your self
this is what I did with my other stang at the track. it had 4.10s.....W/o slicks i revd about 3k-3500, then dropped the clutch, and then shifted at 5500-5800,....with 10' slicks i rev to 5800 or so, dropped the clutch [sm=gears.gif], then shifted at 6000rpm.... but on street tires i still spun like crazy with 4.10's revving to 3500. I would start a 2k and work your way up testing which is best to launch at and shift at.
I agree, just start at low RPM lauches and see how high you can bring them up. Than once you have your launch figured out than comes knowing where to shift.
