Shift Question.......
With my old gt, i used to powershift without putting in the clutch. It was fun, until i had to replace the trans. But on my 94 gt, with 17 rims with regular steet tires and 3.73 gear, ive notice that by holding it at 2800 rpm, then releasing, i get the best hook up, and take off
try launching off idle and getting your foot to floor w/ out spinning. keep it on the brink of breaking loose, but don't let it break loose.
you can't launch a 5-speed w/ 2.73's at 3 grand let alone 3.73's.
w/ the stock cam, (your gonna want a shift lite, or good tach)........use 5200 as your shift point...by the time it lites, and you react, you will have thrown the shift about 5400-5600
don't let up on the throttle, and try to make sure your shifting b4 5600.....if your not , drop the chip lower....try 5000 if you have to.
stock cammed 5.0's make no power past 5500. wait that long and your giving the race away. same goes for spinning.
