Tach Not Working

I put my motor in and got everything in but my tach's not working. What do I need to check to see what's wrong? Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Isn't there a wire right on the coil adaptor?? I hooked up a crane ignition system once on my 86 and found that my tach wasn't working. I swapped wires from the factory coil plug to the crane ignition plug and VOILA!! check it out!! hope this helps!!!
