Default 28inch tire on a GT

Hey everyone does anyone run a 28 inch over all DIA tire on a GT? I ask this because the skirts on a GT may inter fear with a tire that tall. I still do not know what tires I want to get so im looking still. So what size and brand tires is everyone using?

A 28 inch tire and your 3.73 gears is not a good match, You will end up being under-geared

yeah that why i went w/ a 26" tire, with the power i'm making and the 3.73's,
a 28" was gonna hurt performance

26 would be my advice. You will be fine on the highway.

Why so skinny?

ooh. nevermind. Nobody makes tires that tall on a 16 any wider. Brutal. If you went with a 255/50 (26x10) there's a grip of tires that would work.

If you want that size tire I would get a bfg kdw 225 55 16. It will be a little wider because of the smaller side walls. I have these tires on my v6, not a power machine but they hook real nice at the track also compared to the goodyears I used to have on it.

its not as skinny as you think, its 9.0 wide on a 6.0 wheel, so put it on a 7.5 wheel and its going to get a lil wider and be about 26 3/4 tall. not sure yet but i think that is what i will go with. also has anyone used the toyo t1-s that is a 26.6 inch over all DIA on a 7.5 wheel. I think the toyo is going to be a better performance tire. its a 245-55zr16
