DON'T BUY NEW SPRINGS SINCE YOU ARE GOING TO PUT ON NEW HEADS SHORTLY , ALSO CHECK YOUR VALVE/PISTON CLEARENCE BEFORE BUYING YOU NEW HEADS.

I agree with checking the piston to valve clearance. I ran the E303 with the Ford Racing 1.7 Cobra bolt down rockers and had just enough piston to valve clearance. I do strongly recomened you run the proper valve springs as the stock Ford ones are e ven a little weak for the stock cam. I would also run a nice timing chain such as the Ford Racing M-6268-A302 which has a 9 index keyway which will allow you to get the cam dialed in where you want it to run.

I AGREE ^^^^ BUT IF HE IS GOING TO PUT NEW HEADS ON SHORTLY, THESE STOCK SPRINGS WILL BE OK UNTIL THEN. WE JUST PUT THE B303 IN A 90 MUSTANG & IT RUNS GOOD, GOING TO PUT TRICK FLOW HEADS ON SOON SO DID NOT BUY NEW SPRINGS FOR THE OLD HEADS.

If you're going to get heads REALLY soon, then i wouldn't worry about the springs, but if it's going to be a little while, I wouldn't risk it!!

The B cam has a choppier idle than the E, but the E is choppier than stock. Have you looked at any other cams? Look at the TFS stage 1 before you get the E. I'd have gone w/ that if I'd done a little more research before I got my E cam.

Definitely check your clearance, but a stock engine should clear up to ~.550 lift. Also, the duration on any of those cams is under 230, so clearance shouldn't be an issue.
