I am having a problem with my headlight switch on my 92 GT. It seems that the wire that connects the dash lights, tail lights, and running lights is overheating and getting pretty damn hot.

Does anyone have a set of wiring pigtails for a 92 GT with fog lights? I need one bad, I can't drive at night. Please?

ford had an issue with the fog lights along time ago...it's the pigtail...it was ford...i think they had a recall on it.

 

grabbem...I think it might be too late to get the recall on it. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

if it cause car fires,and was never fixed...ford has to fix it...they did my ignition switch for free...that was a recall too.

 

good point, but what if I have added a tach light on it. would that be cause to not honor the call back on it?

 

If its a safety recall it is warranted forever at least w/Diamler Chysler and i think all others thanks to the federal goverment.
But then again most recalls are saftey oriented due to goverment regulations.

 

I just ordered a repair kit for headlight w/ fog light pigtails from CJ Pony Parts...it was only $14 for the whole kit. Thanks to pro50 for the suggestion.
