When I get on my car hard (around 4500 to 5000 rpm)I get a pinging sound coming from my motor and a black puff of smoke comes out the exaust. I think I know the answer but I need a second opinion.

Pinging can be caused by a few things. What is your guess?

try a higher octane gas like premium something like a 92 or 94 oct

Done that already and I also reset my timing

timings to high set it down and see if its better

14 might be too high, try bringin it down to 10. I bet it will stop. I run mine at 14 and get that time to time.
