Default Manual steering

Im building a 327 stroker for my 302 and when its all done the only accesory will be an altenator. Electric fan,Electric Water Pump, No Smog, No A/C, No Power Steering. Where can i get a manual steering rack and pinion for it? i want to buy a cheap one, i think i can get one from Ford ? i know flaming river has one to but it think they are expensive

I am doing the same thing except i am doing a k-member also on my 83.... I found this kit and it has been the cheapest so far....

you van leave all the fluid in the stock one, then run a hose from the in to the out.

it drives pretty good still, my buddy did it, and i was extremely surprised.

go to advance auto parts or autozone and buy one for a 79-86 mustang 4cyl. thats what i have on mine. then you can either get thr flamin river rag joint if your running shorty headers or the flaming river shaft if your running longtubes.

Complete Flaming River kit from Holcomb Motorsport, Lumberton, N.C. for about $380 + - in the last 90 days.......
Cheapest place I found.
Aut-zone or someplace like that will sell you cheap, sh-t quality parts so you need to double there price as it will need replacement in 1 year......

Junk yard hunts are fun. I went on a walk about and found a good manual rack on a 1980 4 cyl Stang and took it off myself and paid 15 bucks for it! Four years and running strong now on my ride.

The one in my old '67 lasted a good 37 years... and still goin. Had about four inches of play in the steering wheel though...
