thats what my insides tell me also but like i said the ppl at gaudin ford here in las vegas couldnt tell me what it is and or its function. my insides tell me this could be why the starter silenoid has power to it when the car kays are in my pocket, but with out knowing what this object is i cant replace it arghhhhhh lol . why couldnt my nephew have taken my advice and buy the stupid battery hold down unit i told him when he bought it i test drove it for him looked it over for him car is very clean for a 87 very very fast and rust free also. now it has this stupid problem and being the uncle i am im tryn to fix it for him hopefully with the help of this fine forum we'll figure out what this object is and its function ()
