Default harmonic balancer wobble

the harmonic balancer is not supposed to wobble is it? mine is wobbling like crazy...its got to be time for a new one, the rubber is sticking out one side and pressed in the other..

you are losing horsepower due to the harmonic balancer. the stock balancer is to light for thwe 5.0 h.o. on all the older engines like the 289 hipo and the boss 302 they had bigger balancers. the enegry that usually goes to the ground is being eat up by the viberations. vibratech makes a nice fluidamper.

on the front of the motor just behind the crank pulley.(the big pulley at the bottom in ther center)

$250 is a bit much for what i need...

i had a balancer come apart on me about 60 miles from my house and drove it home was not good idea. i recomend you fix that problem quickly.

get a sfi one the rubber is prone it crack up,,over time,,
