I think they make wheel spacers for cars with longer hardened studs. This way you don't have to worry about the wheel falling off, you just have to replace all the studs.

ORIGINAL: OnyxCobra

yeah you bolt it to the hub, then you bolt the wheel to the spacer.

other opinions?
I CALL THAT A WHEEL SPACER ADAPTER , YOU CAN USE THESE TO ALSO CHANGE THE BOLT PATTERN . A WHEEL SPACER IS JUST THAT, A SPACER BETWEEN THE WHEEL & HUB , IT FITS OVER THE BOLT STUDS ON THE HUB. IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL TO ADD LONGER STUDS.

I KNOW HOW THEY LOOK & WHAT THEY ARE. I THINK THE SPACERS WITH OUT THE BOLTS WOULD BE STRONGER, BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPION. THEY ADD MORE STRESS ON THE OUTSIDE BEARING, BUT ALL THE PEOPLE THAT I HAVE SEEN RUN THEM INCLUDING MY SELF, HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS . [ THIS IS THE ONES WITH & WITHOUT THE STUDS.] GOOD LUCK.

Depending on how much torque you put to the back wheels. When you increase the distance between the wheels and the rotors you are puting a lot of stress on the studs. In most cases the rear puts out a lot of torque which can crack the studs and you loose a wheel. As a ford technician, I would not recomend spacers. Just upgrade wheels. Go to 17x10 in the rear, put some 275-315 in the back and that will fill up the big gap.

thats pretty good advice. problem is i was gonna wait at least another year or so to get new wheels and just wanted something cheaper that would give me the look im lookin for. I was worried about the extra stress esp when launching w/ the drag radials. I dont want a wheel falling off [:@]

I was going to get wheel spacers for mine too, but the guy at the shop adviced not to, specially on a High HP car, the spacer might spin off and break.

Plus foxes only have 4 lugs. Which is crap, WTF was ford thinking going with a 4 lug wheel!!??!
