He's right. It's a vaccuum line connector. It's just where various lines come to connect and be sent to the vaccuum tree on the firewall. If any of those lines are snapping (like mine did) cap'em off until you can find new line to replace it. Or get a small piece of rubber tubing and connect the two pieces together again inside the rubber. It worked on mine for a line, the others I just capped.
