Hey Guys,

Question, when i start my car in the morning, it's fine, sometimes the idle tends to go down and up but if I gas it a little it will be back to steady. What causes this? Anther thing is that when Im driving and when its time to switch gears, I let off the gas, press the cluth and the rpm goes up some, what causes this? My mechanic is saying that I need some a new idler controller? Could that be the issue? Please help.

has it always done this, does it do it on every start¿ what year car do you have, and what mods¿

 

It been doing it for a while and it's intermitent. I have headers and O/R H Pipe and even before I put those on, it was already doing it. Years is a 1991 mustang GT
