I won't race a Camero unless it's an SS or a built Z28 other then that it's a waste of time.

A 5.0 is easier to work on and is easier to mod. I have a friend with a 1994 Z28. Sure it has some ***** but they have 350s in them compared to a 302. But it's a BITCH to work on. Like I mentioned in the past... he has a broken header bolt. It's on the driver's side closest to teh firewall. He is going to have tl pull the engine just to drill it out. Doing any work in it is a pain in the *** and is expensive.

With that being said, I have yet to lose to any camaro of any year. It's never even close. I take them from teh line and usually just walk away like they're not even there. I'm not saying that there aren't faster ones out there. I just haven't seen anything that impreses me.

And I didn't spend a ton of money either. I probably put $4,000 - $5,000 in it to get to 430 HP.

The taurus SHO is actually a pretty ballsy car. People are surprised when tehy hear the numbers on them.

the people stating with a s/c, heads, intake, cam, etc will make well over 300rwhp, well it depends on how much boost. with my completely built 308 i'm making just at 300rwhp.

Not sure if I mentioned it in this thread or another (think it was another) but the TrickFlow top end kit is about $2,200. From what I have seen, most people that install that get to about 285 RWHP. If you're putting a S/C on top of that, then you're gonna get your 300+ RWHP unless you're running less than 2 pounds of boost.

My Procharger was pulling 320 RWHP with 10 PSI of boost. That was a stock engine, stock headers, offroad midpipe, and flomaster 40s. * PSI or so of boost would have put me around 300ish.

I wont prove my point because everyone else has said it for me bascially. But the only thing I will add is dont get an 93. The pistions arent as good as the 89-92's.. So I would look in that range.
