Default **UPDATED**New Project Pony

I just got a new project pony to work on about 2 weeks ago and just got time to post some pics. Its a 87 Mustang Hatchback 4 banger. The plans for the car is a 302 explorer conversion with a Megasquirt computer. The car's color will be changed from maroon to a metallic blue. Im in the process of welding up all the holes in the engine bay and smoothing the walls with bondo right now. Im almost halfway done welding all the holes on the passenger side. There are alot more holes in there then I thought. The wiring harness will hid in the fenderwells and the main harness will be hid behind the dash and the ten pin connectors will be behind the dash also. Im going to have the harness come out were the bellhousing is so you cant see it and the starter wires will be going through that hole also so you dont see them either. Also im going to have the O2 wiring come out the with the those harnesses too. This will take the place of my car now and be a DD/Show Car when im done but Im not taking any shortcuts with this car. i will keep you guys posted with updates on the car as I work on it.

I have a set of GT40 and GT40-P heads and uppwer/lower intake. How much are the heads and intake worth?

The heads need the be rebuild really, they werehigher milage 5.0L
Im getting rid of them and just wanna know how much I should ask.
Im keeping the block for myself for now

The car only cost me $400 and $100 for the title. I just talked to my uncle thats selling me the engine and Im getting a GT-40 motor instead with an explorer intake. So my plans for the engine is to rebuild the heads with new springs and race valves and port and polish a little on the heads and polish the intake. im going to get a custom cam ground with some 1.6 roller rockers with a 70mm tb and megasquirt computer system. Im hoping to get close to 300 rwhp tuned.

My plans formy GT-40 irons are:

Stainless Steel undercut valves
Valve Job
Mild port work (done by me)
grinding down the thermocator bumps
smoothing the exhaust ports
smoothing the intake ports
smoothing the bowls
Maybe deck the heads to raise the compression a little

What do you guys think about what im planning on doing to the heads? The car is going to be a DD so I dont want to raise the compression to much bc I want to run 87 octane in the car so how much can I deck them?
