SN95 FTW! My 91 ran a 15.2 @ 89 stock, fully loaded, 5-spd, 2.73 gears. (124k miles)
My 94 ran a 14.9 @ 92 stock, fully loaded, 5-spd, 3.08 gears. (198k miles)

89 - MAF, tilt column, no airbag. (I'm short ...I mean "vertically challenged" to be politically correct) I had to have the tilt column! Fixed wheel in 90+ cars was just not comfortable for me.

But the '90+ had fugly rims [:'(]
I'll have my pony's until the day I die.

RE: Best year for the 5.0
This thread has been revived from the past. I've had a 91,93 and my current is an 89. I love the tilt. People talking about stock wheels is a mute point, who keeps em stock for long. I have the done the 5 lug conversion but there are many options for four lug wheels as well. And the 89 do's have the 140 mph speedo. Also some of the late production 88's have MA. I would be more concerned with with body type than year.
