5.0 spark Knock
95 GT - Auto - 55K Miles - After reading codes - replaced both 02 sensors. Pinks less but still there. Cleared all codes several times. After check engine light - get 189 code Lean on Bank 2 on acceleration. 02 Sensors are correct Ford Part.
Any Ideas. Looking for Help.

Forgive me for not being more complete. Have run Prem since new. Have checked and / or replaced all items you mentioned and them some. Dealer tells me it is the quality of fuel today. I am begining to believe them. Thanks
Dealer says EGR Working properly. Last several years timing set at factory spec 10 Deg. After installing new 02 sensors and some improvement recently set at 12 Deg. Ping not too bad just very annoying. Thanks.
My 94 had some pinging issues due to a dirty MAF senor. The wire was caked with junk. Carefully cleaing with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol fixed that. But if the code say one bank or anthor it be that an injector is restricted. try some stp injector cleaner for the fun of it.
I have cleaned the MAF as suggested. Replaced Air Charge Sensor. As far as newer cars and trucks the electronics are completely different. Computer retards timing to eliminate Knock. 95 5.0 is now old technology. Does not have the ability to adapt to all conditions. I owned a 88 Full size bronco which did the same thing. Ran good but still pinged when I sold it.
Personally I believe it is not possible to eliminate ping on this vintage engine with todays fuel along with the poor job that ford did in the overall setup of this engine. In autos like mine, Way too much heat (even after changing to 180 Deg thermo) shift points too low in trans. I changed from 3.25 gear to 3.73. Helped but no complete solution. Will not ping very much in winter. Thus heat issue.
Thanks for all the feedback. Just wanted to make sure I did not overlook something.
