What do you guys think about the 2000 ford lightnings? the car lot offerd me 5k for my 90 lx hatch as a trade in

A buddy of mine has a Lighting and it is ungoddly fast with a few mods just don't try and drive anywhere far without a s%^t load of gas money

I've watched the taillights of a few newer Lightings going down the track, hard to belive a truck can be that quick! Then again on the highway I toyed with one and was suprised that at 75+ he didn't have much for me even ran away from him a few times.

Until 5 minutes ago the lightning was my dream car but now I would say wait a bit and buy this
The salen f-150 I drive by a saleen plant a few times a week and someone there is driving one already so I looked at it and it is sex on wheels.

Had a 2003, '99-'01 had head problems with not enough threads for the spark plugs. They will blow out if they have not been corrected. Great trucks!

they are silly fast. high insurance, gaz guzzler, and obviously limited top speed due to aerodynamics. only flaws i can think of.

anyone racing a lightning on the highway is stupid. 0-120 it will DESTROY a foxbody. modded or not.

a guy at work has one, its running on 7 cyl. and still runs good. hes about to drop 9-10K on the motor plus a whipple, he said it will be in the 10's.

My insurance was the same as a 2003 F150. When I got the Mach is when it went through the roof.
Just have to call around and find the right Ins.
