I am purchasing a 306 block assembly and want to go ahead and put a cam in it befor it goes in the car. My question is does the ford e303 cam need hydralicroller lifters and will i have to modify the pushrods or block in any way. 89 gt

I have an e303 in a 306 in my 90. All 5.0 blocks in this era use hyd roller lifters from the factory. No mods needed anywhere, just bolt it in.

If the car is an AOD then you better get one or the car won't be much fun

what is done to the motor, anything? if its all stock parts then the e cam is fine but if you have any performance stuff on it, the ecam is a joke.
