if you had to do it over again?????
some of you may know i am new around here and picked up a 91 coupe two or three months ago. well i was reading that other topic of people and how much money they put into there car and it got me thinking for me to put the car where i want how much would i have to spend. needless to say the number was more then three times more then the car would ever be worth. so i then started looking around and thought maybe i should just buy one 70-80% already there. we all know how much of a kiling we all take when we sell these cars. so my question to you guys is if you had to do it over again would you buy one that had alot of mods already done, you just needing to make minor adjustments to make it exactly what you wanted or would you start with a bone stock car?

The only problem w/ buying an already modded car is you don't really know what you're getting. Not to mention, how much it's been beat on. And the cars you find in pristine condition w/ a good amount of mods are going to pull top $$$ anyway.

I bought my 92 5.0 basically stock because I wanted to do the mods myself and this is the cheapest car to do that with. I also came out on top because it an aftermarket paintjob and was absolutely in love with the color when I first saw the car.
I don't regret it, even though i've already put $2000 into a car a paid $3800 for because to me it is worth it. I don't plan on reselling my 5.0...

Looking back I wish I started with a better car but I bought what I could afford and put money into it a little at a time so I couldnt have afforded a car with everything done to it in one shot.

I would have went 351 based instead of 302 based when I bought a Dart block. I would not have had the intake I had CNC ported. I would have waited for a turbo kit instead of being impatient and buying a supercharger.

i would have started w. a newer foxbody, not an 88... not because of the speed density... but because btwn working on my car, and whitefoxgt's car(93 gt) its a huge differance... like everything about mine, is retarded and douchebaged up compared to doing the same job on his

Next time I'm just gonna invest in nitrous, gears and some tires. I really don't care how fast I am on the street, just at the track. I have more money then I wanted in my "budget car" and its still not as fast as I'd like. Although back in march my goal was only a 13.5 but my 1/4 miles goals keep getting faster, the faster I go.
