+1 on the suspension...set up right, even the crappiest of tires will hook better!

You would be suprised what suspension does. Work on getting sub-frame conn. weld torque boxes, upper and lower control arms, weld your axle tubes, it does make it stouter. All this will put a stock 5.0 in 13's. I would not spend money on anything but suspension if i was you, then when you have good power you will be able to put it to the asphalt.

My lower control arms took a 10th off my 60'(from 2.0 to 1.9 on street tires). and with my MT I am getting 1.7 60' with less power than you. I was holding about 3800 to 4200 and letting it out fast, not dumping. I wans't heathing them either...not enough anyway. I was running 16lbs.

Another thing, don't over rev first, it will hurt your 60'...if you short shift it, you will lower your time.
