i just did a motor swap with my 90 mustang from the 2.3l to a 302 ho motor... it is being totally being rebuild with the northern auto ford engine rebuild kit with eagle rods, the 476/496 cam with large headers and exhaust system.. the motor is bored 20 over and because of the bigger cam i have newrocker arms and springs... its carburetor ( edelbrock 600 cfm) and have the performer rpm intake, hydrolic lifters with stock heads.. stock 2.3l drive train exept clutch, throwout berring and pressure plate and has the 9.5 in tires and rimsthat come stock on most newer 5.0 mustangs.. can anyone give me an estimate of what this could run in the quater when its done?
14's is a guess without knowing what your hp is. Stock heads are a huge downfall. Completely stock mustangs should run high 14 so maybe in teh mid to lower 14's. Best guess.
we looked up the head numbers online and it said they were they 2nd best head ford ever made stock with the 302 and those are the exact numbers... there wedged with stock ports and stock valves..1.800 intake and 1.450 exhaust
