Default blow off question

i have a centrifugal supercharger on a mass air flow 5.0. can i get away with using a blow off? I don't know how the mass air flow sensor would account for the charge blown off. anyone using a setup like this?

ive heard that as long as you put it before the MAFsensor you will be ok. it will throw off the readings if you put it after.

thats the thing, how can i put it before the the mass air flow? the mass flow sensor still remains on the suction side of the supercharger. the BOV would have to be installed on the charge tube after the supercharger and after the MAF sensor. I've seen it done before on mass air flow cars but how do they compensate for the lost air blown off?
