by the time u get serious about the track, you have to realize that this stuff will happen.
most people that are that serious, have a 'track fund' and can afford to drop in a new motor within a couple weeks.

Bummer... but yeah if it's a serious track car, this is what happens... Now if the motor in our 94 blew up, I'd be a bit displeased since it's still a street DD... when we go full track, I'm half expecting something to break.
Good luck gettin it all goin!

I thought about going back with a 408 short block from Ohiocrank.com they make good stuff. I have another motor on the stand ready to go back in. The motor I was running was just real cheap, not even forged pistions. The motor I have going back in it is a 302 / FMS block, I-beams and custom forged ross pistions. I am keeping my heads for now. I have had really good luck with the WP 1.94 1.60 heads with a custom Ultradyne aka Bulet cams, solid roller. 58cc... rebuilding is almost half the fun, but not quite
