how to correct this, this car has not ran in 7 years I finally got it started last night, i added new premium gas and I added a can of Seafoam, worked on in it for about 3 weeks to prime the old gas out, and once I got it started this is what I notice.

 

would the timing have to be retarded or to far advanced? im just wondering if im runnin a lil bit lean. i bought this car with a s/c with stock injectors. would that be it. would that make me run lean

you need to figure out if its rich or lean. do you smell gas out of the exhaust?

 

You are prolly running lean if your SC and have stock injectors. I would definatly get it tuned and put some larger injectors in it.

 

dont laugh its a power dyne. i know you guys dont like them. it was on there when i bought the car. it has 9lbs. of boost. n when i get home tonight ill smell for gas

 

your running 9psi of boost on stock injectors? you havnt blown that motor yet? wow

i'd go at least 30# to be safe. you are going to have to pay to tune it, at a dyno tuner. the tuner might recommend 42#. call and ask first. tell him the situation.

 

ok cool! ill do that. ive run that car really hard n it hasnt blown up....yet. lol

 

watch and see how much faster it gets once its running right
