Hey i've done a lot of searching and can't really find anything but i'm getting a 92 thunderbird 3.8 liter tonight for $400. the main problem is it won't shift into O/D. Any idea's or things to check to fix this, i'm going to do the fluid but other then that i don't really know what to check for. Thanks for any help.

 

Its an aod, they burn up the overdrive band really easily. Its a very common problem. I wouldn't drain the fluid either, there may be a chance the trans won't work after doing that.
