Default help on 5-LUG CONVERSION

5-LUG CONVERSION
[/align][/align]I have a question.. I just finished putting on the rear axles that i took of an Aerostar van from an 86 to 97 on my 91 mustang but when i shake the car side to side i hear a knocking sounds coming from the rear end... I was hoping if you guys could tell me what that is.... Maybe i did something wrong....Please let em know..[/align]

did you take the left and right axles?

From an Aerostar you will need two of the passenger side axles from an 86 to 97 model.
you will need to get both from the passenger side ONLY! because the rear axles are offset so only the right side will work.

yeah... i got 2 ..... F**k i tink that i got the 2 right side one's... Do you think that is why it make that noice ?

There is a slight amount of play you can feel/hear when shaking the car from side to side. With the car on jackstands, you should be able to move the axles in and out about an 1/8th of and inch give or take a 1/16th, that is normal

How about when the car is on the floor, Should i still be able to hear it when i shanking the car side to side ?
