Hey i was just curious how fast our 5.0's aere compared to say a new edge v6 or a 05/06 v6? Could i slightly modded v6 beat a stock 5.0?

My buddy has a 91 GT AOD with full exhaust and raced a 05 V6 5 spd with full exhaust and cai and they were neck and neck.. I would say drivers race..

My car isnt quite stock, but I walked a brand spankin new 07 4.0l vert yesterday. I wasnt even tryin to race, but he kept jumping at me and smilin, so I showed him whats up.

unless your friends GST eclispe is highly modded then the GT's he raced, weren't racing. a GST is about on par with a stock 5.0

super 16g, FMIC, larger maf, SAFC, 3" exhaust, about 15psi. It's badass.

the newer v6 stangs are heavy. id say 5.0.

They have been getting bone stock v6's autos and sticks into high 14's at the track. Up against a high milage fox body they may give you a run for your money. We put dual exhaust on one from manifolds backat work and the customer claimed it was a whole night and day difference. They may respond well to mods compared to 3.8 stangs.
