Went to the track

RE: Went to the track
Are you really suprised that you ran so slowly on a stock converter and gears? Nothsa, what are you doing giving it throttle in OD for? (If I understand what you were saying correctly) Are you trying to destroy your OD band? If you've got a properly built and big enough stall, the right gears and a sticky tire you're looking at a HUGE drop in your ET.

I didnt think i could untill i tried a few weeks ago. I hooked up a fuel preasure gauge and reved it all the way to like 6700 and it never lost preasure. So i know its not going lean. It doesnt feel like its loosing power either.
Yeah I shift at around 5200 which is around 5500 by the time the AOD shifts... My rev limiter is right at 5500... How are you shifting at 6500???

I wasn't surprised I ran so bad with stock stall and gears but i'm worried that they won't drop my time as much as i'm hoping... considering I had a 2.1 60ft (which I think is really good) considering the stock stall and stock 2.73's...
If I have 4.10's will I still be in 3rd gear at the end of the track?

I put it in nuetral and checked the fuel presure up to 6500 RPMs.
so your saying that to check a possible fuel problem under a load, you had the car parked and you reved it to check it?
if you want to check your fuel pressure through the RPM band, you need to get a gauge with a long enough hose so that you can tape it up to the windshield and watch it under a load.
just revving is wrong, and bad for the motor.

Iknow free reving isnt great for the motor, but i only checked it twice the way i said. Even if i actually drove it up to 6500 it wouldnt change much vs. just being in nutral would it? while free reving it didnt loose any preasure at all.

they are street tires, riken raptors. it wouldnt matter if they were stickier ne ways cuz it doesnt even spin them off the line and if it does it is a very little bit. i mean even just the gears should make the tires spin like crazy, idk
