I need to buy a new stereofor a 1989 mustangbecuase the stockstereo was taken out. The only problem is, thespace where the stereo go's is much bigger than after market stereos. I want the stereo to fit properly so i need to put somthing els in there. Have any suggestions?

Also where is the best place to get schematics for this car.

 

there is a stereo install kit for these cars, its a piece of plastic where the deck goes into

 

u want a 1 din size plate.

they are everywhere. i bought a new deck from crutchfield recently and it came with the deck, free of charge. along with the wiring harness

I got my install kit at circuit city.. Hopefully that helps..

 

Yeah, best buy has them too. It will come with either a faceplate and a place for the new deck, or it will have a little cubby hole that will hold nothing, and if it fits, will slide out onto your shifter bezel.
