Default NO TRACTION(tire help)

I have a 1994 gt I have no traction i bought 275 40 17 yokohoma radials its okayish before i spray but when I hit the nitrous i blow up the rear tires.
I wanna upgrade to some type of drag radial 315 35/40 17.(I have the 10 1/2 wheels)
anyone have any suggestions? i dont wanna spend $400 and still be spinning.......
anyone using any of these tires?
I went 13.40 ice skating at the strip........I think if I can hook up I can run a 12.

nitrous on any street oriented tire is going to peel the rubber off those tires...

the tires you posted will help out alot.you going to mount on 15's or stay with a 17 inch rim/tire?
