I ran one for 12 years before putting an MGW in my car. It now resides in my wifes vert. It's a great shifter.
which do you prefer?
Honestly, either one would be good. I have noticed however that I tend to miss 3rd more w/ the MGW.
do you think that has anything to do with using the Hurst for 12 years and still be relatively new to the MGW?

I've missed 2nd on occasion, usually just let the clutch out too fast, you dont actually miss the 2nd gear location.

2nd is a pain in the *** for mine too. I have to shift into itat around 4Gwhen drag racing to avoid a miss.

that whole sentence, why would you need to shift at 4k so you dont miss your shift? that makes no sense.most people shift at 5.2k to avoid an over rev but 4k......

and 2nd gear? come on you pull it striaght back. i can understand 3rd but to miss 2nd or even 4th......

neglected to leave out some of the story leave room for interpretation. i dont care how long you've been driving a stick. just wonder why you need to shift at 4k....doesnt make much sense to me. and i figured 1st to 2nd would be pretty simple but if you having trans trouble i understand, i have the same thing, i cant slam into second, i have to shift slowly. synchros are bad
