Default Hurst, Short throw shifter

Just wanted to know if anybody has tried the Hurst short throw shifter PN-391-5033?
I like the old school look, but wondered how it functioned?
Thanks & Aloha,
Scott

Can't say for a 5 speed, but I have a Hurst short throw on my 4 speed, and it's a good shifter. Sturdy, good quality, and has a very positive shift feel(which is saying a lot for a cranky old Toploader).

I ran one for 12 years before putting an MGW in my car. It now resides in my wifes vert. It's a great shifter.

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Keep your eyes open for more questions about upgrades to my '94 GT. It's bone stock, but hopefully not for long. Any help from here is always appreciated.
Thanks again,
Scott

I have a Hurst shifter in my car and I have been pretty happy with it (was in the car when purchased, so I can't compare it to stock). I have a buddy with a 97 cobra however and it's stock shifter sucked hard core in comparison. He has recently replaced it with an MGW piece that I actually think feels a little better than my hurst. It seems to be more adjustable, slightly smaller throw and a little more positive "click" into each gear. I can tell you though that you will be very happy with any short throw in comparison to your stock crap...

its 100x better than stock. i love my hurst shifter. the only ones i've used are stock (sucks) B&M ripper (alright feeling but i know people who have had issues with them) and my hurst (i love it)

Honestly, either one would be good. I have noticed however that I tend to miss 3rd more w/ the MGW.
