Default Battery

for those of you that read and helped me with my last problem with my alternator, i appreciate it...all seems to be OK now, while cruising, my autometer voltage gauge reads a tit bit over 14...but i had the guys at my shop do a charging system test, and i passed it all, but with a 12.97...the mechanic said the normal, especially with a new alternator, is a 13.8 or 13.9...so now i'm thinknig i need a new, heavy duty battery...any recommendations on good ones that won't rape me in the wallet?
