even with safety switches it will blow up sooner or later. im not saying that i was being perfectly safe with my setup. i have seen far more aggressive on stock bottom end/heads.

FuzzyDiceRule, i was almost certain thats what it was. But then my compression test had me confused. 150 or 155 at all cylinders. shouldn't at least one be coming back bad?

(1) i know im the only one out there that runs nitrous w/o one... you know there's people that run more nitrous than that, dry shot, with no wot activation or fuel upgrades. so im not the biggest idiot in the world.

(2)1st missed shift in a month. my buddy bent a pushrod and messed up a valve missing a gear without nitrous... stuff happens, im just trying to fix it.

(3)when the car is fixed ill have a full msd with spark cutoff at 6k.
1. if you cant drive well enough without spray, dont use it. YOU MIGHT BLOW AND ENGINE OR SOMETHING.
2.stuff happens when d1cking around.
3. HOLY UNRELIABLE!
1. So anyone who has ever missed a gear should not use nitrous? I think nitrous can almost be left out of the discussion, people blow motors revving too high all the time without it.

its not too hard to use nitrous... make sure your foot is too the ground and make sure your car is in gear not over revving.. doesnt seem to hard to me

My grandma has never missed a gear in her car. However, she shifts very slow and easy.

My point is that everyone here has missed a gear before. Unless you never race.

the only time i've EVER missed a gear racing aroundwas because my shift **** came off the handle. that was in my truck, stupid push on *****!

now i will admit, i've killed the car before and have had crappy shifts and have had trouble getting into gears due tofuked up tranny's. but you should not miss a shift and blow up your car.

If you have the proper safety switches in a good nitrous system, you won't blow your engine up, at least not from the nitrous...as long as none of the safety stuff fails. Seperate fuel pump on a wet shot with a fuel pressure safety switch for the nitrous selenoid, microswitches etc, rpm shutoff switches, you could even rig a manifold pressure switch so that if you do miss a gear the nitrous doesn't spray. Engines blow up because something went wrong, not because it's just something "that happens"
