i got one installed on the GT........the only thing i can say is that, depending on the brand u get, it may look unfinished at the sides. u might have to fiberglass it to make it look like one full piece or u will be left with what lookslikeoverlapped pieces.

Get the one from blue oval industries...it's made from original ford tooling and finish is PAINT ready plastic...just excellent quality. I installed mine with two sided tape and two screws...cutting the bumper was simply a utility knife leaving a 5/8" border all the way around. Test fit the pc..cover the whole back side with two way and press in place. I then drilled through the top of the insert and through the bumper, installed two screws to secure and touch up painted the screws. Finished product is excellent..as for molding...yup looks good too. My 88 is really built as a show car...details are quite important to me, if I thought molding the insert would look better, then I would certainly have done it. It's just not necessary...but easily done. Install is a breeze and the price of 60bucks is just outrageously cheap for the part you get from blue oval.

Hmm that grill insert looks like a good idea, I love the look of the cobra grill over the lx one. But I'm not big on body work.
