Default long or short

whats the differiance between longtube headers and shorties what are some pros and cons and also my mustang is a 88gt 5speed all stock which 303 cam could i put in there without doing much to the engine a e303 or f303 or b303. just plan on puttin after market exaust maybe some dumps i dont know what sounds better dumps or tailpips out back sombody let me know somthing

So the B303 is the safest.

Long tubes are great for just about anything, but you would want to have a cat back system for back-pressure with limited top end work.

Shorts offer the best torque for moderate modifications, they tend to be more install friendly also. If your plan is adding mods in the future, then the long tubes are worth investing in. I have always ran long tubes.

Go shorties, long tubes are only needed for 350+ horse, not to mention what a pain in the *** they are to install

I installed shorties on mine because the long tubes suck to put in. But i run long tubes on my truck, and for the noise id go with long tubes, but id go with shorties.

make sure you go equal length on the shorties, I dont like unequal length. it makes it so each cylinder releasing gas matches up with the tailpipe gas release. someone else can explain it better haha
