Default price check

ok so i called a local performance shop that specializes in mustangs today. i asked him about a gear install and this is what he said

$300 for FRPP 3.73 gears with install

or

$520 for FRPP 3.73 gears, trac-loc clutches (i think he said he uses 4 or somethign so that it is a lot tighter than stock or i could get the 3 for less), pinion seals, speedo gear, all synthetic fluids and install

what do you guys think?

also i wanna buy a set of Ford Racing lowering springs off craigslist. he said have 2000 miles on them. i believe they are the .86" fornt and .5" rear. (waiting for his email) which would be nice for my wheel and tire setup. asking $75 good y/n?

thats a good deal... tho personally if i were to have a shop do my gears(im doing mine myself come fall, in school) id just do the 300. and then redo the clutches myself... easy job imo... and yea by using more clutch discs then usual, itll lock easier/sooner

My local performance shop charges $600 for gears and install! $660 if they have to use the new pinion...

I would be all over gears for $300 installed!
