for what logical and sensible reason would you remove it?

I said logical or sensible reason, but anyway, lets say you have a hydraulic failure on your brake system, how clean will your interior look or matter then?

You took the console out of your 87? Doesn't it look kinda funky with out it the 87 - 93 wasn't designed with a no console option as far as I can recall.

Well there isn't much you can do about the handle except maybe find the little cover that went around the base in the 79 - 86? mustangs that came with out the console.

My 83 vert didn't have the console and had the plastic cover that went around the base of the brake handle sorry don't have any pictures of it. Or maybe you could find some sort of leather boot like a shifter has to go around the base.

im about to give up my parking brake. i have an auto tranny so i dont need it. the reason for ditching it is because i have come up with a parts list for a diy rear brake conversion and the whole thing is going to cost under $350but im not sure if the calipers im getting have the necessary parts for an e-brake
