NEW gears installed now w/ 1/4mi times

Default NEW gears installed now w/ 1/4mi times

just got my car back from the shop today.. i got 3.73s installed along w/ the trac loc clutches (made it stiffer than stock by adding annother one), synthetic fluids, pinion seals.. i havent beat on her yet.. tryin to be patient and break her in for like 200 miles. the rpm at 65mph was approx 2200.. im bringing it up to fun ford this weekend and friday for street night but im just gonna run it on friday not durring fun ford.. soo pumped

here is the breakdown

$22 - Pinion Seal
$10 - Royal Purple 75w/90
$6.50 - Friction Modifier
$75 - Clutch packs
$70 - Posi labor
$105 - Gear Install Labor
$12 - Speedo Gear
$195 - Ford Motorsport 3.73 gears
$20 - Pinion Bearing
$26.43 - Tax

$554.93 - Total

yeah man new gears make your car feel like a new one haha. time to change your sig. and thats not too bad as far as price goes

i actually went to cdperformance in fall river.. i brought it to him yesterday at 5pm and picked it up today at 530pm..

congrats on the gears. good choice BTW with the 3.73's. they really woke my old 93 gt right up, i couldbreak the tires loose through 3rd gear after the install. i believe there is also adrive gear for the speedo that needs to be changed also for the speedo to be truely accurate (if i remember correctly). i got the 3.73 speedo gear when i did the swap but neglected the drive gearand my speedo was still about 10mph off.

ive heard that he is a little sketchy w/ money so dont pay for anythiung til you get ur car is finished. other than that he seems fine.. my buddy is good friends w/ the guys from KC Racing (import cars) that is right next door and he is supposidly a genious w/ comps/tuning

i had the $12 speedo gear installed. the 89 and under t-5's have a different drive gear than the 90+ t-5's and it only needs the speedo gear not the drive gear. they come stock w/ that drive gear you posted. but thanx n e ways
