There is a WOT cutoff of switch, I think it is located on the passenger fenderwell somewhere, but yea, like Zach said, have you check the low pressure relay?
I am having the same problem.... I can bypass my pressure switch (I know I have 32 psi at 1500-2k rpm of refrigerant) and never get my clutch to kick in. But I can straight wire it to the batt and it comes on and blows ICE cold. Mine is a 91 LX 5.0
