Ask the previous owner what he used. And change it according to how you drive it. Good rule of thumb is every 3000 miles or 3 months.

Royal Purple. Motor Oil, Tranny Oil, and Rear End. If you dont want to spend that kind of money, use some kind of synthetic. Ya theres arguments that it may make your car leak oil and all, but you are not gonna beat a full synthetic oil, no way around it. Disipates heat, lubes better, easier start up, resists breakdown, 100% better.

Thats what I use too. I dont know for sure, but I have heard that is ok to switch from regular oil to synthetic, but not from synthetic to regular oil.

i was considering becoming an ams oil dealer, they claim unless it says 100% synthetic that its just a highly refined conventional oil. and also say once you use it you shouldnt switch back.who knows. personally i use 10-w-30 in my mustangs.unless your racing i would just go with reg brand oils

86, is AMS oil the stuff they claim you can drain the oil and drive it around without damage. Not that I would do it, but I saw some tests on speedvision where they drained the oil from several cars and then drove them around a track.

cheapest out there, running synthetic in a car that has used conventional for 50,000 + miles is never a good idea
