it was a STI it had that over sized wing in the back and the STI badges and what not he told me it was a sti..

You would see an improvement with new u/l control arms. Congratsfor staying with the sti, but drag racing isn't what they're designed to do.
Edit: Are you sure it was an sti, and not just a regular wrx. There is a difference.

with my car i raced a regular bone stock WRX and whooped him from a dig and a 40 roll. he was pretty embarassed but those regular WRX are not fast unless they turn up the boost to 20 psi and have a turbo back. still at that its not going to be much faster. it takes quite a bit to make a 4 banger faster than most v8s.
my car runs DEAD EVEN with 22 lbs boosted srt4 from a roll. they come stock with 16 pounds.

a buddy of mine has a brand new 07 STI, and that ****er rolls out. bone stock they cracked off 13.0s with it, and they launch something crazy. those cars will go like a 1.6 sixty foot on the street.
