Default CLUTCH

I just got an 86 GT a few montha go the car has 44000original miles on it and I love it. They main oil seal is leaking and everyone is telling me to put a clutch in when I replace the seal. The car does not need a clutch but I understandeveryones point cause you have to pull the trans to replace the seal. Money is a little tightso 300 for a clutch just not happening. Anyway, how long does the average clutch last miles wise. Yeah I know how you drive has everything to do with it. Anyways I'm going to keep this car stock and don't have a lot of money right now. So what type of clutch do I need. Is the factory replacement good enough? Do I replace clutch plates and all that stuff? Is there a kit?
thanks

In all honestly the tranny is not hard to remove at all, if the clutch it has is in really good shape i wouldn't replace it.

With those miles, just keep the stock one. I have had a stock clutch for 3 years now. Last I checked was when Irebuilt my tranny on march. My car see track time a couple of times a year. Red light races all the time. The stock clutch should be ok for now. Expect about 5 to 6 hours replacing that seal.
