sorry to hear that man. 4 weeks ago a guy pulled out in front of me within 500 feet and i was going 55-60mph and with fox brakes and it being somewhat wet and bald tires, you can't stop. now we are having to go to court to settle this. he was ticketed, suppose to get the money today but the stupid idiot paid his insurance with a phony check so you get the point. mine is totaled as well so i feel your pain. have to hear it and you should get a good bit for it. they said my cash value for my 87 gt with 220,000 miles was $5800. but good luck!

georgiaguy246: That sucks big time. I hope it works out for you somehow. I didn't hesitate to hire an attorney since I got hurt and to make sure I get the full value of my car back (good thing I saved all of my receipts). In my case there were witnesses, a police report and the other driver already admitted he ran the red light to my insurance - so I guess I'm lucky in that respect. I sympathize with you though because it really sucks to go through this crap. The more I think about it the more it pisses me off at the other driver for doing something so stupid.
