with truck rims, we have slipped a socket part was on and welded the socket to it, only in a dire situation though, but it works in tight spots ussually
Are my posts invisible?!?! (post #10) GO TO A FORD DEALERSHIP... they can match it from a book and order you a new one for about $12.00... much easier and safer than welding/drilling/grinding/smashing on a socket/etc.
Why in THE hell would you take your car to canadian tire? If your getting a safety PM me and tell me where you are and I can maybe give you suggestions.

Not if it's aftermarket they can't...I don't know what the nuts are. The ford dealership apparently has tons of them, so I asked if I could go over with my car and match it up...well today they claim most of the guys are gone for the long weekend and the one guy doesn't have time to do it (time to give me the sockets and let me look at which one fits...****ing idiots).

My car isn't at Canadian Tire...it's a local shop, who apparently are pretty stupid. I told them to just break it off, whatever..cuz I don't care about the nut or the Rims REALLY...they said "Oh it's not a 10 minute job blah blah blah" they also tried to tell me they'd have to pull the Axle to get it off? like wtf.
Ran into the same problem when I bought my car used. Tried an air chisel, no go. Tried vice grips, no go. Ended up welding a stud on to the lug lock and then just using a socket and breaker bar to get them off. Then I just replaced them with normal lug nuts. Good luck.
haha I got it from the shop...took it to the local ford dealership (another one) and they had the right socket...passed the inspection now I just have to pick it up.
