Well, brought my car in for a safety today....I call them to see if it's done they say oh we can't get the wheels off because there's a key-lock on each wheel. The guy that I bought the car off of failed to mention this, and he didn't give me the key. I phoned Ford and they said they have a million different ones and wouldn't know which one it'd be. Phoned Canadian Tire, they have no tool to get them off....so yeah i'm pretty much screwed.
If the garage is too dumb to find a solution to that, then perhaps it's time to take it to a new garage. Just pound a socket on there and take them off. Then replace them with regular lug nuts.
the socket move works. buy a cheap socket that will "just about" fit over it and hammer tha sum of a bitch on. you could kiss the socket good bye after that but oh well.
I lost mine and took it to my small town Ford garage and in about 10 minutes they had a book that showed all the different keys out there and ordered me one. Actually they ordred me two of them incase I lost one again. LOL.
